Dr. Selliah currently serves as a Director of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC.He holds an MBBS degree and a Master’s Degree (M.Phil). He has over two decades of diverse experience in varied fields including Manufacturing, Healthcare, Insurance, Logistics, Packaging, Renewable Power, Plantation, Retail etc. He serves on the Boards of many public listed and private companies.

Dr. Selliah is currently the Deputy Chairman of Asiri Hospital Holdings PLC, Asiri Surgical Hospital PLC and Central Hospitals Private Ltd. He is also a Director of Lanka Tiles PLC, HNB Assurance PLC, Softlogic Holdings PLC, Lanka Walltiles PLC, ACL Cables PLC, Odel PLC, Swisstek (Ceylon) PLC and Swisstek Aluminium (Pvt) Ltd. In addition, Dr. Selliah is also the Chairman of JAT Holdings PLC, Vydexa (Lanka) Power Corporation (Pvt) Ltd. and Cleanco Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. He has also served on many other Boards in the past.

Dr. Selliah has served as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya for many years in the past and served on several committees. He has also been the Head of the Department of Physiology for many years during his tenure at the Faculty.

Mr. Gunawardhana is the Managing Director of ORYSYS and Chief Information Officer of the Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC

Mr. Sumudu Gunawardhana graduated from the University of Moratuwa in Computer Science and Engineering with hons and obtained the Associate Membership of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. He acquired a Masters Degree in General Management from the University of Colombo and is a member of the project management institute of USA. Mr Gunawardhana holds an Executive Diploma in General Management from Sloan Business School of MIT USA. He is also a passed finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) of the UK.

Before joining Commercial Bank, he worked at HCL Sri Lanka, Virtusa Corporation, Millennium IT, Pramuka Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and JB Stock Brokers.

Being in the industry for more than 30 years, he has a vast experience in Technology transformation, Business growth and change management, IT Operation, Business law and contract negotiation and Stakeholder Management.   

Mr. Tharinda Jayawardana currently serves as Assistant General Manager – Finance and Head of Investment Banking and Research at Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC. In this role, he oversees a wide range of functions including Finance, corporate advisory, margin lending, fund management, research, and investor relations.

His experience spans close to 20 years across investments, corporate finance, and strategy.

Prior to joining Commercial Bank he was a Director at TWCorp (Pvt) Ltd, where he was involved in strategy and transaction advisory engagements. Before that, Tharinda spent over a decade at Guardian Fund Management,  where he served as Director and Head of Research.

Tharinda is a CFA Charterholder and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). He holds a first-class honours degree in Finance from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Mr. Nuwan Senaratna is a distinguished computer scientist, founder, consultant, and investor with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, particularly in Machine Learning and Data Science. He is the Founder and CEO of ColomboLabs Inc., a stealth mode startup focused on advanced Machine Learning, Cryptography, and Computer Security. Mr. Nuwan also serves as a Consultant Architect for numerous companies based in the US, EU, and Sri Lanka. His expertise spans various aspects of Artificial Intelligence, from identifying business opportunities in AI to developing scalable AI products and systems, and assembling high-quality teams that harness the power of AI. Additionally, he mentors and invests in AI startups.

Prior to relocating to Sri Lanka in 2018, Mr. Nuwan was a Software Engineer and Engineering Manager at Facebook for over eight years, joining the company in 2009 when it had fewer than 200 employees. During his tenure at Facebook, he contributed to several pioneering products and systems focusing on Artificial Intelligence, Growth, and Security. He was the principal designer of Facebook’s AdReview system, which autonomously reviews millions of advertisements for quality and policy compliance. He also led Facebook’s Advertise Growth Engineering team, aiding Facebook in acquiring its first 1 million and subsequently 2 million advertisers. In 2014, he moved to Facebook’s London office to establish a team focused on Advertising Systems for Emerging Markets and later led the Publisher Platform Engineering team. Mr. Nuwan returned to California in 2016 to establish the Facebook Market Dynamics team, integrating Machine Learning and Economics to create a uniquely efficient advertising market.

Mr. Nuwan holds a Master’s degree in AI from Stanford University, California, USA, where he graduated with Distinction in Research. He is also an alumnus of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Additionally, he holds a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM) in Piano Performance from the Royal Schools of Music, UK. 

Mr. Pattabhiraman is an accomplished banking and business transformation leader with over 33 years of international experience across Asia and Europe. He has held senior leadership positions at UOB, HSBC, and Standard Chartered, where he built deep expertise in operational excellence, global delivery models, and complex enterprise transformation.

As the former CEO and Board Member of UOB Centre of Excellence (M) Sdn. Bhd., he led large-scale initiatives that re-engineered core processes, improved service quality, and delivered significant cost optimisation while enhancing customer experience across multiple markets.

Currently he advises companies on growth strategies, investment opportunities, and M&A initiatives, and plays an active role in Malaysia’s innovation and startup ecosystem.

He is a respected advocate of Malaysia’s Global Business Services (GBS) industry, having served as its Deputy Chairman and continuing as an Advisor. His contributions include his appointment to TalentCorp’s TF50 task force, a national initiative focused on solving Malaysia’s most critical talent challenges, from skills mismatch to boosting women’s workforce participation.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management.

Mr. M. P. Dharmasiri joined the Bank on 1st of March 1990 and counts over 34 years of experience in the field of Banking and over 25 years of experience in the areas of Finance and Planning. Presently he serves as the Assistant General Manager – Planning of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC.

He obtained BSc and MSc Degrees in Business Administration from the University of Jayawardanapura and a Master of Arts Degree on Financial Economics from the University of Colombo. He is also an Associate member of the Institute of Bankers in Sri Lanka.

He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of Sri Lanka.
